Steve Lindsey was named senior vice president, Southern Operations, and president of Atlanta Gas Light, Chattanooga Gas and Florida City Gas for AGL Resources (NYSE:GAS) in December 2011. Mr. Lindsey manages the operations, marketing and regulatory affairs of these utilities in AGL Resources' Southern region, which serve 1.7 million customers in three states.
Mr. Lindsey's career at AGL Resources began in 1989. He served as vice president and general manager for Atlanta Gas Light and Chattanooga Gas from 2005 to 2011. He oversaw the day-to-day operations and market development for both utilities. Mr. Lindsey has held a variety of positions within AGL Resources subsidiary Atlanta Gas Light, including: managing director-marketing, new business and marketer services; managing director, field operations; manager, engineering and new construction supervisor; distribution engineer; and commercial and industrial representative. He also has served as vice president of operations for Chattanooga Gas.
Mr. Lindsey serves on numerous committees for the American Gas Association, Southern Gas Association and Tennessee Gas Association. A member of the Rotary Club of Chattanooga, he also serves on the Atlanta Committee for Progress Governmental Affairs Council and is a board member for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Committee for Progress, Council for Quality Growth, Go Build Georgia, Atlanta Union Mission, the Livable Communities Coalition, the Atlanta Tipoff Club and the Emory Healthcare Advisory Board. He is a graduate of Leadership Georgia and Leadership Hall County.
A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, Mr. Lindsey holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
He, his wife and their two children reside on Signal Mountain, Tenn.
